Out in the Woods, Sekeping Serendah
From 22 to 24 December, a short trip with the banana ohana, the brief summary of us out in the woods.
In Rawang town! It was around 45 minutes drive to town and another half an hour or so into Sekeping.
Went to 1Utama before heading Rawang to buy all our food supply and damn, budget exceeded, but then we did finish everything (except some sauce stuff) so *calculation error*.
SEKEPING GLASS SHED! While the rest unpacks and prepares, some of us be going back to the main gate to pay for our accommodation. Oh all the fuss I went through because *ahem ahem*. Just remember to do as you were told if you are going to places (of course only if it's the right thing).
And 22nd December was Solstice Festival! I totally forgotten until my mom asks me why am I going for a trip on Solstice Festival AHAH. But we had tangyuan too! Thanks to EX's aunt and EX and MZ and LJ for all the prep and cooking :) (while I stand there taking photos and cooking barley soup at the same time)
Some relaxing. Teehee.
We should totally award her Sleeping Beauty :P
BBQ TIME! We had bbq for both nights' dinners. And damn, I'm salivating now remembering the taste.
p.s.: food photos will be compiled in one post some day later.
Good morning to day 2! (while someone goes all stalker mode with my camera)
And here's one of the proofs of yours truly doing not only the photographing job.
Breakfast in the making. Full breakfast photo soon in the food post.
Morning chills. HIGHLIGHT: LOVE HER VOICE like SHHHHH SHE'S SINGING.
And people getting excited for swimming.
And I was in the house helping out with lunch prep, so no photos of swimming in the morning by me.
Before lunch, drizzling again so we "camped" in the house instead. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to just sit and chill there with the bunch, like a family.
After lunch, and then it stopped raining again!
Bubbles are just so lovable, don't you think?
More swimming because it wasn't enough in the morning.
And then the water starts falling from the sky again, like seriously.
When it stops, again. Photo and fun session in the area.
Oh and bubble session.
Sleeping Beauty Alert 2.
The colour temp- .. let me go hide my face.
2nd night BBQ.
See, too dark to handle MIGOSH.
And of course, selfies.
And the ultimate level of selfie - self-lighting with another phone's torchlight.
PRESENT EXCHANGE! Because it's the giving season and because it's a memorable trip with great friends.
More photos of individuals upon unwrapping and revealing of presents, COMING SOON ;)
And the Mr Think Perfect who so thoughtfully prepared additional presents for each and every one of us.
PLUS IT WAS FOOD.
Next morning, time to pack our stuff and go. But first, GROUP PHOTOS!
p.s.: More group photos to be uploaded to Facebook soon.
All these photos took forever to be uploaded.
Okay maybe not too much of the woods because we basically stayed in the shed we rent for more than 3/4 of our time there BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING ALL THE TIME. (note to self: to not go on outdoor trips during rainy season, but seriously WHY DO I ALWAYS DO THIS TO MYSELF :'D)
Speaking of rain, lets take a moment to #prayformalaysia. So many things happened this year I don't even know how to squish them into my small brain. Hopefully the flood subsides for all Malaysia, hopefully no more flight accidents/incidents, hopefully 2015 be a good year. And also, we shall all learn to NOT throw rubbish anyhow anywhere any more. (BTW, LINE Malaysia is donating to MERCY for the flood, just add "LINE Malaysia" and send a message of "Be Strong" and LINE will donate RM0.50 on your behalf! Every effort counts!)
And because of the rainy and cloudy situation, it was really gloomy and there isn't sufficient light most of the time which is really annoying but thankfully luckily I had my dslr or my dc would have died trying.
